Indeed. Sierra adventure games were plagued with gratuitous, unfair insta-deaths. That, the illogical puzzles and the fact you could get stuck forever because you forgot to pick up an object or do something, made it pretty much impossible to complete those games without a walkthru or an hintbook of some sort. Despite that, I enjoyed those games a lot (and I must say the death scenes in Space Quest 1 and the Leisure Suit Larry saga were hilarious). But nowadays, I wouldn't even think of playing an adventure game so fundamentally broken :P

That scene is supposed to represent a realistic situation. Maybe I should have also included screams from angry neighbors trying to sleep X)

And yes, as Yukabacera said, sound plays an important role in this level. You'll find a clue somewhere if you explore the level.

I absolutely loved this level. All the small touches are really great. It's very inspiring to me because I'm also working on an urban level similar to this, and I think I'll use your tileset in a portion =D

Also, thank you for reminding me of graffiti. I'll have fun with that in my level.
Menagerie - 25%
Skyline Spires - 5%
A Golden Hymn - 0%

The Great Machine, Antikythera, which grinds the blood of men into history.
