hm, I would only suspect that you have an old version (from before the final name got chosen).
although...I think someone in beta testing mentioned that simply changing (->renaming) the file extension works well enough.

Indeed, that was me :D
The files are exactly the same, but with a different file extension. You should probably upgrade your release, mate!
I'm not dead. Not entirely. And yes, I'm embarrassed by most of the posts I made here.

The .finck file is basically empty anyway, it doesn't have any info about the level aside from the filename.

Open Windows Explorer.
Click "Tools" at the top, and "Folder Options" in the drop-down menu.
Click on the tab marked "View" in the window that pops up.
Right under the hidden folder options, there should be a checkbox for "Hide extensions for known file types". Uncheck it. Click Apply, then click OK.
Now all files should show their extensions. (programs will end with .exe, documents with .txt or .doc or .docx, etc. etc.) Now simply find your FiNCK files, right click, rename, change .iexcuse to .finck . Voila!

...if you're using XP. Dunno, maybe it works on other Windows OSes, but I have no idea, really.

If you're using Mac, I can't help you.

Changing file extension != file conversion.
If it works here though, then there's no problem.

It's the same file, just a different extension. Yes, I'm aware file conversion is not so simple, but:

Yeah. I guess.
